We place autoimmunity and cancer immunology from an integrated perspective: both of them are \u2018destruction of self-derived components by immune system\u2019. Our approach is to combine in depth mechanistic study using animal models and validation of the mechanisms by human samples.Our goal is to devise novel treatments based on the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of these diseases.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"bg-field\">\n<div class=\"field\">\n<h4>Novel target autoantigens and pathogenic mechanisms of autoimmune disease<\/h4>\n<div class=\"with-photo\">\n<p class=\"txt\">By employing our own new technology, we will elucidate the whole repertoire of autoantigens critical for disease development in autoimmune diseases in order to establish antigen-specific therapeutics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"img\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/lab_ito_y_img.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<br \/>\n<\/main><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LABORATORYAbout our laboratory HOME &gt; Faculty &gt; LAB.
