Professor Keizo Tomonaga (Lab. of RNA Viruses) at the Institute for Life and Medical Sciences, Kyoto University, has received the 6th Ohtawara Toyoichi Prize.

This award is presented to researchers who achieved outstanding achievements in the fields of infectious diseases and hematology by The Chemo-Sero-Therapeutic Research Institute.
Professor Tomonaga received this award in honor of his research into his research on comprehensive understanding of bornavirus infections.

The awards ceremony was held at Kumamoto city on March 13th.
