On June 18, 2026—Kyoto University’s Founding Day—the Institute for Life and Medical Sciences held a recreational sports day. Many faculty members, staff, and students participated, providing an opportunity to interact across laboratories.

The event featured badminton and table tennis in the morning and softball and dodgeball in the afternoon. The dodgeball match between the faculty/staff team and the student team, in particular, generated great excitement among the crowd, further strengthening the Institute’s sense of unity.
