講演要旨
It is often said that certain network motifs are necessary for interesting
dynamical properties. For example, positive feedback is said to be a necessary
condition for sustained oscillation, or that incoherent feedforward is necessary
for biphasic dose-response curves. An issue is that different communities are
often looking at different networks, while using the same terminology. We will
compare the diagram for activation/inhibition pathways in cellular signalling and
the interaction graph for the Jacobian matrix. As an application, we consider a
model for the activation of T-cells, and prove that the biphasic dose-response
curve of cytokines necessarily implies either an incoherent feedforward loop, or
a mixture of both types of feedback loops. Time permitting, we will look at
reaction diagrams (species-reaction graphs or Petri nets), and discuss the
nuances of moving between such a diagram and the Jacobian interaction graph.(Language: English)
