演題：	Streamlining Cryo-EM - The Tools of the Trade from a Service Facility Perspective

講演要旨

Cryo-EM is a key method for structural biology that requires substantial hardware and
infrastructural investments. Dedicated service cryo-EM facilities can provide centralized access
to the microscopes and peripherals, consolidate work routines, and support operators with their
project demands. In this talk, we will take a closer look at current best practices, workflow
streamlining, as well as technique training and theory teaching within the Cryo-EM Core Facility
of the Max Planck Insitute of Biochemistry. We will also discuss how to navigate the narrow path
between full automation and risking methodological and cognitive disconnects in the age of
machine-learning, and the great opportunities and challenges that arise from current frontier
developments in high-throughput in-situ analyses of cellular environments by electron tomography.（開催言語：英語 Language：English）
